Dani and Monico’s wedding at the historic La Villita in the heart of downtown San Antonio was nothing less than amazing. From her gorgeous handcrafted blush gown to her one of a kind Armenta ring, to the stunning stained glass at the Church of La Villita to the stunning floral provided by HEB Blooms – No detail was spared.
We started off at elegant The Fairmont Hotel where everyone was getting ready. With its long beautiful hallways and beautiful sunlight peeking in through the windows; it was perfect. I especially loved that it was right across the street from the church and reception, which made for some amazing walking photos of both the bride and groom and their entourage aka “bridal party”!
Dani and Monico have become like part of our family, we have been photographing her family since before she had her sweet baby Noah! It was such an honor to be able to document their sweet boy throughout his first year of life and when she gave us the news of her and Monico’s engagement we were ecstatic! Even more so as she asked us to be her photographers. These two have a love so pure and are the sweetest people you will ever meet. It was so amazing to witness all the love that not only they radiated to each other but to also feel all the love that surrounded them from their family and friends.
If you have never been to the Little Church of La Villita, I highly recommend you pay a visit- so much art and history, not to mention one of the most beautiful places on the San Antonio Riverwalk. With its beautiful stonework and high stained glass window at the altar, it was absolutely perfect for Dani & Monico’s wedding ceremony.
Their reception was so much fun as well. They had food stations (San Antonio Fiesta Style) all around the gorgeous La Villita that included a taco station and even a make your own corn in a cup station! The beautiful blush wedding cake (and Spurs themed groom’s cake) made by Cakes by Dre’ was just as delicious as it was beautiful. Before the night was over, there was a special surprise gift for the couple from the groom’s mother and aunt – everyone gathered around to watch a beautiful Hawaiian woman perform a traditional Hawaiian wedding song and dance especially for the couple. Not a dry eye in the place, such a beautiful gift. It was a perfect ending to a perfect wedding!
