This past bluebonnet season we were blessed to work with these 3 adorable kiddos! The thing I remember the most from this session was how sweet these two sisters and brother were to each other. As we shot their individual portraits and we asked them what their favorite things were- they were quick to tell us what their brother or sisters favorite color/cartoon/flower was. They were an absolute dream to work with and aren’t their portraits gorgeous?! We had an amazing sunset that afternoon. A few months later, while talking with their mom about another session, we learned that Kamryn and Kaitlyn were diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF) as babies.
So its almost Valentines Day and we are so excited to be doing sessions right now. Aren’t these little sweeties the cutest? This totally got me out of the missing Christmas funk. My son- not so much (every time we come to the mall, he’s asking for Santa).
This was little Evie’s 8 month session and what better time to turn 8 months than just around Valentine’s Day! Not to mention since I’m a Boy-mom, I get so happy dressing up little girls! The best compliment I can receive is that of a happy parent saying that they love the way their children came out in our photos. It’s not an easy task most of the time and 98% of the time, kids hate getting their picture taken. Especially my son – you would think he’d be used to it by now but he is the most difficult child I have ever photographed (don’t even get me started on his birthday sessions). I’m not sure if many of you know, but I lived in foster care from the age of 12-18. I’m not afraid to talk about it, in fact, I like to bring it up anytime I can. I consider myself one of the lucky ones- one that made it, that survived the system. I know when people think of foster kids there can be some misconceptions but no two foster children ever go through the same walk of life and everyone deals with it differently.
