All my newborn girl photography dreams came true last month…
From a tiny ballerina to a sweet angel to a baby Aubrey Hepburn, Tiffany and Co. style- my newest little baby niece made all my newborn photography dreams come true. If you know me then you know I have been planning this session since I found out I was going to be an auntie again this past February. I got to meet my newest baby niece Olivia Remi at just 5 days old and by day 6 she was ready to pose. Of course this was not a typical newborn session because 1. I drove to Rockwall, TX. from San Antonio to meet this baby girl 2.I had limited gear with me (mainly because my trunk was packed with every girly prop I could think of) and 3. Since I planned to visit my sister for a whole week, I did like 3 or 4 different sessions (normally I couldn’t fit this many outfit changes in a normal one day session). This is why I say she made all my newborn girly girl dreams come true. Also, we haven’t had a newborn girl in the studio in about a year. Crazy huh? We had tons of adorable little boys this year, but I was dying to use some of the cute pink stuff I had been collecting. Most importantly- I got to use my Audrey Hepburn/Tiffany and Co. inspired backdrop and crown! You know I am a Tiffany and Co. lover, so of course I was ecstatic when my sister told me she was having a girl. I had to buy her a tiny newborn crown.
Baby Olivia was the perfect little model and was so quiet and calm every time I took out my camera. I am so glad that although my baby sister was not feeling well she got to rest a little and let me do my thing. Of course I was missing my other half to assist me, as he was on a business trip in Boston and I had my own little “three-anger” son wanting to help but I think despite all that Olivia’s photos came out amazing! It was fun to do a different type of session as well -the lifestyle photos I took of just her in her crib and of her just being a sweet lil baby are probably my favorite (too many of those to share in one blog-lol). I am a tiny bit bias of course- she is my newest baby niece. I’m so in love with this little girl and I cannot wait to spoil her the way I spoiled her two older sisters. And speaking of older sisters, I cannot believe my nieces are already so grown (12 and 14 yrs old). Seems like just yesterday they were in preschool! I had so much fun doing their hair and makeup for their photos with their new baby sister. I got all my girly fixes in a week at my sisters, then it was back to being the only girl back at home.
If you haven’t been to Rockwall, TX. its definitely a place worth visiting. While we were there Noah and I went exploring as we usually do back home in San Antonio and came across Oak View Equestrian. Angela and her mom Dee Dee were kind enough to let us explore their ranch and take photos with the horses. Noah even got to ride 2 different horses. We got some amazing portraits and we didn’t want to leave (you can see a few of those photos on my personal Instagram acct). Noah and I asked Sam when he got back if we could please live there-lol! Its so beautiful. We hope we can visit again next time we are back in town! Hopefully it will be soon. I know Olivia has already changed so much as she’s already almost a month old. I wish I could just give this little girl hugs and cuddles all day long. Good thing I live 300 miles away or I may not get any work done, I’d be going to give this girl kisses all day-lol! A huge thank you my baby sis and her hubby for allowing me to share their beautiful daughter with you all, I am sure you will be seeing a lot more of her in the future. Although I am a proud #boymom – I still love all things girly! So if you have a little girl bring her to us- I have so many girly ideas that I’m dying to try out! San Antonio-please come make all my girly photography dreams come true!
