Forget the election talk- it was my baby’s birthday!

Forget the election drama, my baby is 3!

So in case you want a little distraction from all the chaotic election talk- I want to talk about something else, perhaps the most important thing in my life- our baby boy! I cannot believe he just turned three! His favorite things right now are Star Wars, Firetrucks, Superman and most importantly Bruno Mars‘ Uptown Funk! Uptown Funk has been his favorite song for almost 2 years now.  He knows all the words and dance moves. His favorite Uptown Funk video is the one on the Ellen Show (he loves the firefighters and smoke at the end).  Forget cartoons in the morning, this boy is ready for some Uptown Funk on Ellen!

What is a Rainbow Baby?

A Rainbow baby is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn’t mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.  Have you ever met someone who you instantly felt connected to? As you all know I met this beautiful family in one of the most heartbreaking situations you can ever imagine.  I met them the day they lost their sweet baby girl Malia.  I had only been a volunteer for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS) for a few weeks and this would be my very first session.  Little did I know how much this family would change my life.  This family has thanked us so many times for capturing all these memories for them and all I can say to them is – No Thank YOU!  Thank you for giving me perspective in my life and thank you for showing me how sweet and humble and strong you are are in the worst of times and reminding me that everyday is a gift and to never take any moment for granted.

Noah is 8 months!|Grow With Me Series|San Antonio Child Photography

8 months already?!! Time sure does fly, it seems like not so long ago that this little cutie was in for his newborn session.  I can’t get over what a happy baby little Noah is! He smiled and giggled the entire session.  So much has changed since his four month session.  His personality has started to form, you can totally tell by all the cute little faces he gave us.  His new favorite thing at the moment is saying “whoa” — its adorable! He is crawling up a storm and I’m pretty sure this boy will be walking by the time we are ready to do his One Year Cake Smash!
