They met on the school bus in 7th Grade, 10 years later they are getting Married!

How adorably cute are Katie & Byron??? The number one most asked question when meeting a couple is “How did you meet?”. The best part of our job is learning all about people’s love stories and Katie & Byron’s has to be one of my favorites!! These two met on the school bus on the 1st day of school. Katie says it was love at first sight and admits Byron was a typical boy who didn’t really want her to sit next to him as she approached her seat but she knew when she saw him that he was the one. Fast forward 10 years and we are so excited about these two best friends to be married!
The romance doesn’t stop there, he proposed on the beach in the Cayman Islands while they were on a cruise. Byron had planned an elaborate underwater proposal while scuba diving, he had a paper sign and everything but Katie says she kinda freaked out, so he took care of her instead. After they were safe on the beach and all was calm he proposed.
When I found out how Katie & Byron had met, I was on a mission to incorporate a school bus into their engagement session and was so excited when Katie loved the idea as well! We traveled to Austin to meet them at the popular Sekrit Theater then headed over to a beautiful nearby park for a sweet picnic with some wine and their adorable pup! It was a gorgeous day and loved how comfortable these two were in from of the camera. Katie is absolutely stunning and I can’t imagine the look on Byron’s face when he sees her in her wedding dress!!
They are both about to graduate from college in Lubbock, Texas and although they have traveled the world together, including living in Thailand (isn’t that amazing!?) They are ready to start their new life together as a married couple. This future lawyer and doctor have the world at their fingertips and we couldn’t be happier for them! Congratulations Katie and Byron!!! We can’t wait for your wedding day!!
